November 25th, 2023: 18th & Union is saying goodbye to our friend and appointed Technical Director, Chih-Hung Shao! Chih-Hung, has served as our Residential Lighting Director/ Technical Director since 2021. His contributions have been tremendous, from upgrading our Lighting Grid to upgrading our Tech Booth. Although we are saddened to see him go, we wish Chih-Hung nothing but the best in his future endeavors!

18th & Union is seeking our next Technical Director! We seek someone passionate about 18th & Union’s mission, values, and community. We are open to a range of backgrounds and experiences. The ability to collaborate with artists of all ability levels and teams is essential, as is the ability to be a confident and collaborative decision-maker.
Familiarity with non-profit organizations is helpful.
This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position. The pay rate is $20 per hour. Increases will be based on job performance and 18th & Union’s financial performance.

18th & Union is a non-profit space in Seattle's Central District that focuses on providing a home for portable performance and community events. Our mission is to sustain an affordable, inclusive, and intimate space that nurtures art and community. Our vision is a city where everyone has equitable access to art and community collaboration. 18th & Union is governed by an 8-member Board of Directors. Staff includes five part-time employees. The operating budget is ~$150,000.
