The Moonshine Revival Tent presents:
WHY THE MOON HIDES HIS FACE
(accompanied by THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF HERBERT)
Story & lyrics by Bret Fetzer, music by Sari Breznau
Performed by Sari Breznau, Bret Fetzer, Mike Gilson, Christine Longé, and Jillian Vashro
The Moonshine Revival Tent brings its unique fusion of storytelling and a cappella choral singing to 18th & Union! You may think that shadows have crossed the Moon's face from time immemorial, but it just ain't so. The truth behind this celestial veil involves drive-in movies, birds turned human, singing cowboys, singing cowgirls, and the Machiavellian mechanics of Hollywood, in WHY THE MOON HIDES HIS FACE. Then, in THE TRANSFORMATION OF HERBERT, a poor young man is about to be thrown in jail for the crime of falling in love with a rich young girl when a pigeon offers him the chance of escape...by becoming a pigeon himself. This is only the first of a series of escalating transformations that culminate in the strangest love affair of all.
"...it is never a sure thing that audiences will get a second chance to see and hear a favorite story perform. Make time now to attend! ... It is a chance not to be squandered." -- Fremocentrist
"[The Moonshine Revival Tent] is as easy to relax into as an evening by the fireside."
